SUSTAINABLE ENGINEERING
MGD Energy leads the new era with Integrated Energy Storage Solutions for Residential and Commercial Applications.
Energy Storage is a strategic pillar of the energy transition, offering households and businesses increased energy autonomy and significant reductions in energy costs.
Within this framework, Greece has set ambitious targets through 2030, with energy storage capacity estimated at approximately 4.3 GW, confirming its pivotal role in the country’s energy future.
MGD Energy, the No.1 company in Self-Consumption, with extensive experience in high-demand projects nationwide, is leading this new energy transition era by delivering Integrated Energy Storage Installation Solutions for Residential and Commercial applications, with no provider lock-in.
An Energy Storage System (ESS) enables the storage of electrical energy generated either by a photovoltaic system or directly from the grid. Stored energy is used whenever the consumer chooses-either when PV production is limited (e.g. during nighttime hours) or when electricity prices are high.
Each storage system is designed based on the actual energy needs and consumption profile of the site, ensuring maximum efficiency for both residential and commercial use.

The photovoltaic system generates electricity for the home or business. Any surplus energy that is not consumed immediately is stored in the battery and used later, when production is unavailable or grid electricity prices are high.
The storage system charges from the grid during low-tariff hours and discharges during high-cost periods, substantially reducing overall energy expenses.
MGD Energy undertakes the installation, optimal configuration, monitoring, and technical support of Energy Storage Systems. Through the MyMGD app, MGD Energy clients receive notifications and have full visibility into their system’s performance and operation.
