ENERGY SAVINGS
The energy efficiency of buildings is one of the principal axes for actions aimed at achieving urban sustainability. In Greece, buildings are responsible for about 40% of the final energy consumption. Nevertheless, more and more businesses and private citizens are turning to greener solutions, both with a view to environmental protection and as a way of reducing operating costs.
The team of expert engineers at MGD ENERGY has extensive experience in the design, permitting process construction, operation and maintenance of modern and energy-efficient industrial, commercial and residential buildings. The company can also undertake to implement improvements to the energy efficiency of existing buildings and to retrofit the proposed solutions. With the right interventions buildings can be made compliant with the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directives and the EU’s targets for 2020.
MGD Energy is certified to the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 180110:2007 standards for:
• Design & construction of energy efficient buildings
• Monitoring the energy profile of buildings
To help in business planning, the MGD ENERGY team can also draw up the enterprise’s energy plan. The energy plan specifies the required energy-saving measures, the degree of savings resulting from each intervention, the period for payback on investment and the scheduling of works in accordance with the payback period, the cost of interventions, their functional necessity and others.
DESIGN
Green industrial and craft production buildings represent the future, as increasing numbers of enterprises are turning to solutions with a small energy footprint. Aside from environmental benefits, “green industrialization” also has significant economic advantages. Energy efficiency allows enterprises to reduce operating costs and unnecessary expenses.
MGD ENERGY has the know-how and experience to carry out surveys of industrial and craft production infrastructures to ensure they meet the highest specifications. The company’s goal is to create new industrial and craft production facilities which incorporate all the modern technologies that ensure environmental and economic sustainability over the long term.
MGD ENERGY undertakes to prepare electromechanical designs and detailed designs for all the systems required for an industrial facility, taking into consideration the sustainability of the proposed solutions. The most frequently requested designs are for:

Strong current distribution (Motion / Lighting)

Cooling – Heating – Ventilation

Water – Hot water supply

Sewage & rainwater drainage

Weak current distribution (data, R-TV, WiFi)

Security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Alarms)

Active fire protection / Fire Suppression / Fire Detection

Building managements systems (BMS)

Gaseous fuel distribution

Biological treatment and wastewater treantment facilities
The required studies are prepared in the light of the energy efficiency of the proposed systems and applying our long-term experience and know-how.
Certified to the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards for the design and construction of industrial facilities.
Holder of Class 1 contracting license for electromechanical, industrial and energy projects and registered on the Register of Contracting Companies (MEEP) with register no. 28803.
Registered on the Registry of Energy Service Companies (escoregistry) with register no. 34, under subcategory A2.
CONSTRUCTION
MGD ENERGY undertakes the construction of high-performance buildings for industry and craft production enterprises. The team specializes in formulating and implementing energy efficient mechanical and electrical systems and the use of innovative, high-specification equipment. Each stage follows certified construction procedures using materials that ensure the efficiency of the investment in regard to the energy footprint and operating cost.
MGD ENERGY also undertakes to carry out energy efficiency improvements on existing industrial and craft production facilities and to retrofit proposed solutions.
With the appropriate interventions, structures can be brought into compliance with the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, while the enterprise benefits by significantly reducing its expenses.

TECHNICAL CONSULTANT SERVICES
TECHNICAL INSPECTION
MGD ENERGY, through the Energy Efficiency Technical Control process, fully captures the energy profile of an Industrial or Craft building and locates the savings points, based on standardized measurements of all systems of the installation. Then, it determines the Energy Profile and prepares a Detailed Energy Assessment Report.
The specialized team of MGD ENERGY, using calibrated instruments, carries out a complete inspection in each sector of the building installations. The whole building – office space and production space – is inspected to identify energy-intensive and costly parts or systems. The findings are reviewed and evaluated until the savings potential per sector is determined.
More specifically, the technical inspection services are the following:
TECHNICAL CONSULTANT SERVICES
Detailed Record of the condition of the building and its systems
Thermographic evaluation of the building shell
Measurements and thermographic control of the Electrical installation
Measurements and evalution of heating / cooling and ventilation systems
Automation control
Control of RES systems
Installation of a meter to determine the Energy usage profile
Testing of electrical appliances & equipment (PAT Test)
Issuance of Responsible Installer Statement
Issuance of Energy Certificate
At the end of the process, MGD ENERGY delivers a Detailed Inspection Report of the building in question. The report includes all possible points, according to the audit, interventions should be made.
ENERGY MONITORING
Energy Monitoring aims to reduce energy costs through the rational use of energy. onsumption control is carried out by continuous monitoring of the energy profile of the building and real-time measurements, both in office space and in production areas.
In an industry with a complex structure, the Energy Monitoring program can be implemented partially and in the long run.
The plan for the implementation of continuous energy monitoring of an Industrial Unit is carried out by targeted placement of meters in the parts of the facilities with the highest consumption.
CERTIFIED PROCEDURES MONITORING ENERGY PROFILE
Selection of Energy Monitoring Method, according to International Standards IPMVP – International Performance Measurements & Verification Protocol.
Installation of appropriate equipment
Energy Analysis Reports
Continuous training of users with visits and special seminars
Certified according to ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 for the monitoring of Energy Profile of buildings
